It was a very quiet start to proceedings this morning, with a full half hour passing before we got to see some serious laptimes.

Lee McKenzie sums it up nicely on Twitter: "Goodness it is hot here. Rehydration salts and water are a must. Sunday in a racesuit will be HOT!" Several teams will be thanking their lucky stars.

One to watch

After one and a half hours running under his belt, how is Jaime Alguersuari working out? It's worth keeping an eye on the youngster this afternoon as he starts to get more confidence in the car. We all know how Kaz's debut worked out. (I promise I'll let it go at some point.)
