Great Britain 2010 - Qualifying - Will the British drivers be able to take pole position at home?

Published by Christine

The McLaren duo appear to be off the pace so far this weekend, whilst Red Bull have dominated - albeit with a somewhat fragile car. Qualifying is going to be really important this weekend, and the new section of track still might trip some drivers up.

Weather update

Still dry and bright, although the clouds may start creeping in as the session gets underway. It looks like the rain will hold off, but as this is Britain, expect the unexpected. It wouldn't be out of the question for the rain to come out of nowhere, and that could mix things up even more.

One to watch

I'm going to be keeping an eye on Alonso this session. Whilst Red Bull clearly have their usual pace, McLaren are struggling and it's Ferrari who can capitalise on any bump in the road for the British boys. Alonso was third in practice earlier today, what can he do in qualifying?

Predictions please

Who will get pole position? Will there be any surprise knockouts in the first two sessions? How will Yamamoto do in his first qualifying of the season? Will the weather stay dry?
