We had a sneaky trip to Silverstone this morning to catch a glimpse of the drivers as they headed to the track for practice. We weren't about to go in the gate, but the skies were blue and the fans looked in fine form. It's going to be a good weekend.

Weather update

The sun was out and shining it's way through the morning, so hopefully there will be more of that this afternoon. There's talk of showers for tomorrow, which would make for an interesting qualifying session, particularly with the new track!

One to watch

With Fauzy taking up his seat in the first practice session, Trulli has a bit of ground to make up on the other drivers, as they get to grips with the new section of Silverstone. Abbey seemed to cause problems, so keep an eye out for errant Lotus cars at that point.

Predictions please

Will Red Bull be able to dominate the entire day? Can Hamilton make a comeback and get some glory for McLaren? Will Yamamoto be able to improve on last place? Will anyone crash into the barriers - even though they are quite far away now?
