Great Britain 2010 - Free Practice 1 - Changeable conditions over the Silverstone track

Published by Christine

Formula One returns to the heart of the British countryside, with Silverstone playing host to the next round of the 2010 season. You can never quite count on the weather in the UK, so expect a changeable weekend - both in terms of sky activity and what's happening out on track.

Weather update

The weather shows mostly sunshine with a few clouds scattered around, which sounds about right for Britain. In fact, that sounds quite glorious and considering what nice weather we've had for the last few weeks, a couple more days should be quite manageable.

One to watch

The obvious choice is Yamamoto, who will be getting to grips with being a full time racing driver again - for this weekend, anyway. But it's also worth keeping an eye out for Fauzy, who's getting the opportunity to drive the Lotus on this Friday morning.

Predictions please

Who will end the morning on top? Will Yamamoto keep his car in a straight line? Will any other teams swap their drivers at the last minute? Will the weather hold out and the sun remain in the sky for the full first session?
