Fernando's perfect start to the weekend

It was quite a packed day yesterday as we saw the weather play a rather important part in proceedings. The damp track saw some interesting results, but it is Saturday morning practice that weighs heavily on people's minds as F1 goes into qualifying later today. Who can finish the morning on top?

Weather update

rain

Hockenheim, Germany, Saturday

19℃

  • Low 17℃
  • Humidity 78%

Heavy rain showers

By all accounts, we're expecting some serious rain today, although it is due to clear up by this evening. With both heavy rain and soft showers forecast, it's unclear how much this session, and more importantly, qualifying, will be affected.

One to watch

Alonso put the Ferrari team at the head of the pack for FP2 yesterday, and he is hoping for more of the same for the rest of the weekend.

The target is to finally have a perfect weekend. We have done some good Fridays before, but we need to do a perfect Saturday and a perfect Sunday.

- Fernando Alonso

Perfection required!

Predictions please

Will Alonso get the perfect start to his Saturday, as he is hoping? Will Lewis make an even better recovery from his accident yesterday? Who will end up in P1? Will anyone else crash out during the hour long session?
