Europe 2009 - The race // Brawn GP and Red Bull face off again around the Valencia street circuit

Published by Christine

It's time for the moment of truth - will the European Grand Prix live up to such lofty expectations? Let's be honest, we're not really hoping for a great race, so perhaps it will surprise us?

Weather update

Still really, really hot. The BBC are suggesting that the max temp will be about 35 degrees C, but down on the track and especially within the cockpit, it's going to be much warmer.

One to watch

I reckon Barrichello is the one to watch as he is fuelled heavy off the start, and as the two McLaren's in front peel off into the pits, presumably it will be Rubens' race to lose. However, anything can happen, so keep your eyes peeled!

Predictions please

Will Lewis manage to get McLaren's dream of back-to-back victories? Will Badoer actually make it to the finish? What can Alonso do for the home crowd from 8th?
