Europe 2009 - Qualifying // Sebastian Vettel is down an hour's practice, can he scrape pole position?

Published by Christine

Free Practice 3 did not go down as expected, when Vettel's engine left a trail of oil on the track and the drivers were left with five minutes to put in their fastest times. So far, Valencia has delivered, what will qualifying hold?

Weather update

It is gloriously hot and sunny in Valencia, we keep seeing shots of the lucky people on the beach. The drivers are already making good use of their fans and ice packs, and I think it will only get hotter as the afternoon draws on.

One to watch

Better keep an eye on Vettel than. He has previously shown that he doesn't need extensive practice to pull something out of the bag, and he seemed intensely disappointed with his early Free Practice exit. He may have something to prove.

Predictions please

Who will get pole? Can Sutil convert any of his strong showing into grid slots? Will Badoer be anything but last? Which big names will drop out in Q1?
