It was a slow start to the day (and weekend) with FP1, so here's hoping that FP2 sees a few more laps completed.

Weather update

As expected, temperatures are much lower than we have been used to in recent years, however, things are still dry, which is important. Some of the teams have been struggling with their tyres, but mostly it is just a matter of getting used to the situation.

One to watch

Hamilton has been the guinea pig so far today, with a new front wing (5live said it was pretty - is that possible?) and some diffuser tweaks to the rear as well. The man finished Free Practice 1 at the top of the timesheets, which means things are finally looking up for him and the team.

Will the Toyotas struggle - has their good luck run out? Will Hamilton continue to show improved performance in the McLaren? Who will top this second session? How much of a problem will the tyres be this weekend?
