Canada 2010 - The race - McLaren line up on pole position with a long afternoon ahead of them

Published by Christine

I watched my first qualifying session for ages yesterday, and it was a good one. McLaren finally managed to get their hands on a pole position, with Lewis Hamilton putting a stellar lap. What can he do in the race?

Weather update

It looks as though the weather will stay dry - any predicted rain has been pushed back to Monday. Or so the forecasts will have you believe. Some pictures from the drivers parade show a sunny start.

One to watch

Michael Schumacher missed out on the final session of qualifying and therefore starts quite a way down the order. Will he be able to prove his worth and move up the field at all?

Predictions please

Will Hamilton be able to keep his hold on first place throughout, particularly as tyre wear is going to be a problem? Will the weather stay dry? Will the Red Bulls be able to keep apart for the duration? Who will be the first driver to meet with the barriers at an unfortunate moment?
