Bahrain 2009 - The race - Toyota have a surprise front row lockout, what can they do with it?

Published by Christine

Toyota are starting the race in the best possible position, with a 1-2 in qualifying, but will they manage to sustain the form through the race.

Weather update

The weather seems to be pretty good right now, nice and hot with the sun shining. The wind has picked up again, which might cause problems, and we discovered yesterday that the tyres will be the real problem.

One to watch

All eyes have to be on Vettel as he has the optimum strategy and starts from third. It's also worth watching all those with KERS - BMW, McLaren, Renault and Ferrari. On the long straights it might make a difference.

Predictions please

Will Toyota be able to keep their lead throughout the race, and will they both end up on the podium? What progress will Webber be able to make from the back of the grid? Will he even make it through the first lap?
