Bahrain 2009 - Qualifying - Pole position in the desert will be decided in the next couple of hours

Published by Christine

We're heading into qualifying, the time when the grid for Bahrain will be decided, and we must eagerly keep our eyes peeled for any upsets along the way.

Weather update

It's just getting hotter out there, which may be hard on the drivers, but it's more humid than we were possibly expecting. The wind speed is changeable but the direction seems to be constant so far.

One to watch

Glock struggled in FP3, although he did end up leading the timesheets as the session ended. His Toyota spluttered to a halt on his final laps, and he had to climb out disappointed. Will this affect his performance in qualifying, or will he be subjected to yet another penalty?

Predictions please

Naturally, the big prediction is who will be on pole, but there are others along the way. Will anyone fall out earlier than expected? Will Hamilton manage to keep on improving his performance? Will we get a new polesitter, or will it be someone we've seen already?
