Australia 2010 - The race - Sebastian Vettel starts from the front for the second weekend in a row

Published by Christine

With Vettel on pole, we're looking at a race that starts out very similar to Bahrain. We've got many different variables though, and perhaps Red Bull have sorted out their reliability by now.

Weather update

The weather forecasts have been suggesting light rain for a few days now and we have yet to see anything substantial out on track. Having said that, the forecast changes to heavy rain for the race, so it might be time for some precipitation to stir things up.

One to watch

Lewis Hamilton qualified down in 11th, and with the speed the McLaren can have in a straight line, it will be fascinating to watch if he can come through the field at all. He'll want to close up to his teammate at least, and this will be the real test of overtaking possibilities.

Predictions please

Will Vettel make it to the finish line still in front? Can Hamilton make up places to pick up a good points haul? What can Alonso do from third? How many Safety Cars will we see? What effect will the rain have?
