Australia 2010 - Free Practice 1 - The Formula One paddock moves on to Melbourne

Published by Christine

We are on to round two of the 2010 season, then, and Albert Park is the destination. Many, many people have said that this weekend is the real start to the season, so let's hope that proceedings get off to a cracking start.

Weather update

Earlier this week, the forecasts were suggesting heavy rain for all three days, but it seems to have lightened up a little. There is still plenty of rain on the cards for today... or so the weathermen say.

One to watch

I'll give the first one to watch of the weekend to Mark Webber as this is his home race and he'll be wanting to do well after a dismal GP in 2009. Free Practice does seem to make all the difference - just ask Chandhok, so he'll be hoping to be somewhere near the top this morning.

Predictions please

Will Chandhok get the 20 laps in this session he so desires? Will the weather interfere with the running? Will we learn any more about the possibility of Virgin having a small fuel tank? Who will finish on top in the morning?
