Free Practice in Silverstone was somewhat dampened by the wet weather, and it looks as though things will be similar in Germany. If it is dry, the teams will be given an extra set of tyres to test for future compounds, so we may see some running.

We'll also see Karun Chandhok out on track as official race driver this weekend, rather than the Friday only man.

90 minutes of Free Practice will get underway at 9am GMT+1.

One to Watch

Karun Chandhok hasn't exactly shown his potential in practice so far, and so it's something of a surprise to see him taking over driving duties from Jarno Trulli this weekend. His previous practice sessions have seen him stop because of gearbox problems, and stop because of driver problems. How far will he get this morning?
