Eurovision Song Contest 2010 - Join us for the great Eurovision party across the globe

Published by Amy Fulton

This may be an F1 weekend, but more importantly it is also Eurovision weekend. I’m excited, and I’m not even European!

Apparently Eurovision parties are all the rage, even down here in Australia, but why bother leaving the house to attend one when we are having our very own Eurovision party in the comments?

Come on in, adopt a country to support, you’ll have the time of your life! I would choose Finland (home of Heikki) like last year but sadly this time around they didn’t make it through the semi finals. I don’t know why, they were the only act that had a piano accordion! Switzerland (home of Roger) didn’t make it either so I think this year, in honour of Fernando Verdasco, I will go for Spain.

Last year’s event here at Sidepodcast was fantastic. I remember commenting on some sparkly trousers, a giant Greek stapler, a fake Ronan Keating, a Norwegian kid with a violin and a FAIRY TAAAAALE and a few in the comments even fell in love with the lady from Iceland. So I think I remember more than I really should. Hopefully 2010 will give us as many fantastic moments, all the way from Oslo.

If you’re in Europe, no doubt it will be on your local broadcaster, but if you are elsewhere or away from a TV, the whole event will be streamed live on www.eurovision.tv

So join us here in the comments from 9pm Europe time, 8PM UK time or 5am Amy time. Vamos España!!
