This time last year, McLaren were ruling the roost. Jenson Button led the first practice with Lewis Hamilton taking over the top spot for second practice. Red Bull took over for FP3 and the crucial qualifying, but when it came down to it, Jenson Button took home top honours.

With that in mind, McLaren have the potential to do well, but they'll have to fight off the might of Red Bull. It'll be interesting to see what updates have been brought to the cars throughout the field, and whether Renault can continue to do well.

Free Practice 2 will begin at 7am GMT+1, which is 2pm local time, a far more reasonable proposition for those of us in the UK.

One to Watch

Given how keen some of the cars were to fall apart in Malaysia, we should definitely be on the lookout for any mechanical issues in this session. Sébastien Buemi seems to be having a lot of trouble keeping his Toro Rosso in one piece, with debris flying all over the place. Anyone else hoping for a repeat of the engine cover radio, though?
