We were wondering the other day how many of us have had any track experiences where we were driving, ourselves, in a vehicle of some sort. And by any experiences, we mean ANY. We'd love to hear about what you have done, even if you didn't think it was such a big deal. In fact, that’s why I am writing this right now. I did not consider a few track events in my own car to be anything of any particular interest to anyone besides me. Turns out others feel differently. So I’ll go first, and I can't wait to read about the track driving you've done and what you got out of it.

Hello, welcome, we are here to recap another two races from the ground via Alex Snell, who has been travelling around the globe to take in each and every F1 weekend. Alex is pretty famous in the paddock now, and has made some good friends at Virgin Racing, but even so, he still watches and enjoys the races just like any other fan would. If you'd like to read more from Alex, visit his travel blog, or get up to the minute updates on his Twitter account. For now, it's over to Alex.

Somehow I never expected Finland to be hot. But it was steamy hot on the day we arrived and only got hotter until shakedown, which took place on the hottest day the country had ever known. It was totally weird to have Middle Eastern temperatures in such a green land. I was very glad of the shades, sunhat and sun cream, I consigned the fleece to the suitcase and wondered what had prompted me to take it at all!

I have always considered myself to be an armchair F1 enthusiast (or desk chair now I watch at my PC). I firmly believe I can see more at home than I would at a track and have much more information at my fingertips. However, I have wondered what it is like to be at a track and hear a Formula 1 car, so when my friend’s husband called me on Tuesday and asked if I wanted to go to Silverstone on Friday I was so excited I could hardly speak.

This weekend has been something of a memorable one, we’ve had some great Tennis, Football and lovely weather. However I don’t want to talk about any of that – although it would be easy to talk about Lukeh’s sunburn! Instead I’m choosing to concentrate on something much more special. This weekend we were among many thousands of people lucky enough to descend on the glorious 3 day motorsport ‘garden party’ in the heart of Chichester. There is always plenty to keep you occupied and we certainly didn’t see it all, but it was a brilliant weekend.

Hola, people! You find me sat in the main grandstand opposite the Ferrari garage awaiting the start of this afternoon's pit walk, and unsurprisingly, the Alonso fans are already here in their hoards! First impressions of the circuit are promising. I've gone General Admission for this race and thankfully there seem to be loads of really good vantage points around the circuit.
