This year the Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking place between 28th June and 1st July in the grounds of Goodwood House in near Chichester, West Sussex. You can meet a variety of people at Goodwood including drivers from all areas of motorsport and the occasional Sidepodcast commenter.

I have always considered myself to be an armchair F1 enthusiast (or desk chair now I watch at my PC). I firmly believe I can see more at home than I would at a track and have much more information at my fingertips. However, I have wondered what it is like to be at a track and hear a Formula 1 car, so when my friend’s husband called me on Tuesday and asked if I wanted to go to Silverstone on Friday I was so excited I could hardly speak.

Earlier today, Autosport's Jon Noble tweeted a link to the latest Vodafone viral advertisement, featuring both Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. The advert shows both drivers trying to build one of their cars together, without their mechanics, and illustrates how they need the team around them to become the world champions that they are.
