The championship is finally decided, in a race that had a little bit of everything. Teams and drivers felt the pressure - listen on to find out how they handled it.

The Race

It was all about the start and the restart, after the Safety Car left the track, Button and Vettel began their fightback through the field. Meanwhile at the front, Barrichello and Webber were fighting for first.

Team by Team

There is obviously one team who are very happy, but the real intrigue comes between Trulli and Sutil who are still arguing over their incident.

It feels like the season is over in this week's F1 Debrief, as we discuss all that happened in Brazil, plus catch up with news from the past two weeks.

Intro

We thought that it couldn't get more exciting than the Japanese GP followed by moving house, but we were wrong!

Good Week / Bad Week

A good week for Nico Rosberg who has found his helmet, and for journalists at Abu Dhabi. A bad week for swimming with sharks and for David Coulthard.

News and Views

We discuss news surrounding the new teams, including which cars are ready to hit the track. We also think about the Force India reshuffle and Massa's recent outburst.

The Race

Both the championships were decided this race, so we talk about how the action unfolded, including the three hours of qualifying plus the couple of crashes and lots of overtaking in the race itself.

Fantasy Racers

A few press releases from the comments, plus a rundown of the top five, and confirmation that I am still, in fact, beating Mr C.

Feedback

An email suggestion for the mini series, a recap of coverage through the years, and catching up with an old friend.

Housekeeping

We have donated the money to Wings for Life now, and next week we will have to touch upon politics. Apologies in advance.

The rain held off for the Brazilian GP today, but that didn't mean any less action. Some fantastic overtaking maneouvres secured Button the championship, but it was Webber who won the race.

Live: Brazil - The Race

It's certainly a mixed up grid with a couple of this season's race winners starting right at the back. The real battle is between Barrichello and Webber.

Weather Update

It seems as though there is more rain to be expected, but hopefully it will be less obstructive than it was yesterday and we'll see a mostly coherent race.

One to Watch

Vettel is all the way at the back with plenty of work to do if he wants to stay in contention for the championship. It looks unlikely, especially with his lack of overtaking.

Predictions Please

Will Barrichello win at his home Grand Prix? Can Webber take the glory for Red Bull? How many safety car periods will there be? Will Button or Vettel make it further forward?

F1 Digest 2009 - Brazil Qualifying

I didn't think you could have another qualifying session of chaos like we saw in Japan, but Brazil certainly delivered. If you count lots of red flags and delayed starts delivering, I suppose.

Free Practice 3

After 45 minutes of waiting for the weather to clear, we had just over ten minutes of action before Liuzzi brought out another red flag and the session came to an abrupt end.

Qualifying

With the weather getting even worse, we had plenty of sitting around and waiting to do, but were rewarded with Barrichello getting pole at his home track.

Team By Team

Most of the teams had a mixed day with one driver in the top ten and one outside of Q1. All but McLaren who fell at the first hurdle. Vettel is also bitterly disappointed.

With the promised rain mostly holding off, there were still red flags and plenty of spins to contend with. It was a mixed up day, which doesn't give us much guidance for qualifying either.

Free Practice 1

There was a busy start to proceedings as drivers tried to get some laps under their belts before the rain started. It was just a shower though, so plenty of work could be done.

Free Practice 2

FP2 was much quieter than the morning session, with the most notable incidents being Buemi's strong showing, and Fisichella's issues in the pitlane.

Team by Team

Most of the drivers are sure that today's running wasn't that helpful and the times are less reliable than normal. Most are looking forward to tomorrow for increased running ahead of qualifying.
