All three Free Practice sessions were affected by some inclement weather conditions, and all saw mixed up results because of it. Michael Schumacher even topped the timesheets during FP1, on his 20th anniversary of becoming an F1 driver.

Qualifying today should be a fascinating watch, although it could quite easily tip over into the other side - of drivers watching and waiting and not risking going out too soon. We'll have to see how the weather holds up, who is brave enough to make a dash for it, and who'll be fastest up Eau Rouge.

The action begins at 1pm GMT+1 with the Factbyte Factbox opening half an hour beforehand for some fabulous build up.

One to Watch

I'm afraid to say it, but it has to be Bruno Senna. The Brazilian has stolen all of the spotlight this weekend, and all eyes will be on him as he tries out his first qualifying of the year - in difficult conditions, no doubt.

The man himself said yesterday, after practice:

I'm making up for all these sessions that I've missed in the past by getting more miles on the clock. One thing's for sure, I’m excited about getting back in the car tomorrow.

Just saw the video (quali wasn't on the telly, just followed live timing). From what I saw, Lewis tried to move right, not seeing Maldonado. When he did, he swerved back left and gave him room. Given that, Pastor seemed to move more and more to the left of the track and pushed Lewis off.

Given that it was on a curve hamilton did have to turn right,
Lewis had a little squiggle as maldonado came by, but it wasnt aimed into his path

What a strange day to show up back in Sidepodcastland. From experience, the only time pasta talks to me me is when it is too spicy. But just how bad an upset stomach do you need to have before the contents of the said stomach gives out interviews to the press? :P

I think you both are being quite gracious. HAM waited for MAL comming out of la Source. There is NO reason to lift where HAM did. HAM then did a fake-punch swerve and MAL was having none of it.
Double red-card IMHO.

HAM lifted? Don't see any evidence pointing to that.
In any case, the stewards have decided. HAM is reprimanded, MAL gets a 5-place penalty - which, given what they gave to Schumi last year at Hungary, is very light, IMO. He should've gotten a 10-place penalty, at least.
