Australia causes chaos on Christine's Rankings
In which the first race of the year throws points in all directions
Published by Christine Blachford

Australia is known for being one of the more manic events, and this weekend was no different. This year it has had a knock on effect in the rankings, as the drivers were up to plenty of mischief, and there are points to be awarded and removed all over the place.
A record number of 12 drivers are moving about the table, with Trulli making his debut. Just five drivers remain without a score on the board. Here goes!
Movements for Week 8
- +1 Mark Webber: +1 for not letting the Twitter barage get him down
- +1 Lucas di Grassi: +1 for posing for the best Big Picture ever.
- +2 Heikki Kovalainen: +2 for making Amy's day
- +1 Fernando Alonso: +1 for making his way through the field and thinking he could even win it from the back!
- +2 Felipe Massa: +2 for making his best ever season start despite some scrappy driving.
- +1 Sebastian Vettel: +1 for trying to learn the didgeridoo!
- +1 Jaime Alguersuari: +1 for still being positive about life (and exclamation marks) despite just missing out on a point.
- +1 Lewis Hamilton: +2 for some rather fabulous overtaking but -1 for shouting at his team over the radio.
- +1 Bruno Senna: +1 for also helping make Amy's day.
- +1 Jenson Button: +1 for being - in Lou's words - a genius.
- -1 Jarno Trulli: -1 for being ever so grumpy.
- +1 Michael Schumacher: +1 for signing loads of autographs - I keep stumbling across photographs of the man greeting his fans

Phew! After last week where only a couple of drivers scored points, it's good to see that a race weekend brings out all the good and bad in the paddock. We're in Malaysia this weekend so I expect more of the same for next week's rankings. Let me know if you spot anything I should be aware of!
