Robert Kubica got behind the wheel of a DTM car this week, testing in a Mercedes, and the Polish driver admitted that he still believes he can make a return to Formula One. His rehabilitation continues, with the major roadblock to a single seater comeback the lack of mobility in his right arm. It can be compensated for in rally and touring cars, but in the tight confines of an F1 car, the lack of movement would be an issue.

However, Kubica is confident that he is on the right path, and said after the touring car test: "Things are improving. It wasn't like this six months ago, and it wasn't like this three months ago." And talking specifically of his right arm mobility, he said: "I'm convinced this will come back slowly. Nerves need a lot of time and I see progress even if it's slow. I'm sure this will be, not fixed, but not a big problem."
