Who Are They, Anyway - Red Bull Young Drivers
Published
In our ongoing quest to find out more about the young drivers who will be turning up to Jerez next week for the Formula 1 test, we are turning our attention to Red Bull. They only have one driver on the list at the moment, unlike the teams we have already covered. Three full days of testing may be asking a lot from an inexperienced driver.
Daniel Ricciardo

- Age: 20
- Nationality: Australian
- F1 Experience: None
- Notable Achievements: 6th Formula Renault Italy 2007, 1st Formula Renault WEC 2008, 1st British Formula Three 2009
Ricciardo's championship win in the British Formula Three series saw some of his best performances to date, and he has been signed up for the World Series by Renault in 2010, to be partnered with Brendon Hartley. He participated in the recent Macau Grand Prix with his F3 team Carlin Motorsport, but retired from the race in the first lap chaos. He was described by the team pre-season as quick and consistent, plus they were impressed with his ability to fit in with the team.
It seems his adaptability is what appeals, so Red Bull will no doubt be looking at that for the future.
Daniel is currently scheduled to test for all three days for RBR at Jerez.
