Live: Brazil - Free Practice 1

Published

By Christine Blachford

Brazil has seen championship deciders for many years now, and could do this weekend as well, despite being bumped from last place on the calendar.

Weather Update

This section may get very dull over the coming few days, as there is rain expected throughout the weekend. For today, it is light rain, with the temperature about 18 degrees C. Not great for the Brawn guys.

One to Watch

It's worth keeping an eye on Kobayashi, as not only is he being thrown in at the deep end in terms of standing in for Glock, but he also has to do it at an anti-clockwise track. I wonder how many laps he'll do.

Predictions Please

Will the rain ever let up? How many laps will Vettel do? Will we see any red flags? Who will finish the morning session on top?

They dont move though, if they are destroyed you would remember where they are?

It depends how much running they have done and how tuned into the track they are. Some drivers don't use any markers and others can't drive without them.

There is a story from a very long time ago of a circuit that was lined with white painted rocks. One of the drivers had someone from his team paint a particular rock red at each corner. All through practise he used those markers so he was faster than anyone else. The night before the race a rival team went out and and painted a lot more rocks and ruined his race

Tilke has never been to Interlagos, he copies other circuits by just looking at the plans and so doesn't know what a hill is.
