Fantasy Racers Reminder - Germany

Published

By Christine Blachford

It's been weeks and weeks since I looked at Fantasy Racers. During the last race, we were unexpectedly at the track on Friday and missed the cut off for swapping the team. Now, I am right back on form though, and have chosen for the upcoming German Grand Prix.

Firstly, I decided to give Massa a second chance, mostly because Rob is ace. If it's going to be wet this weekend then I'm going to be very misguided, but Lewis was having problems with his KERS, and right now I trust the Ferrari more than the McLaren. LewHam had to go, and Felipe Baby got the nod. Next, I knew I was happy with Vettel and Button, and remembered that a while back I wanted to purchase Alonso but couldn't quite afford him. I decided to ditch Trulli and grab the Spaniard whilst I could. I don't really have thoughts on Rosberg either way, so I left him in.

Driver Price
Felipe Massa 9.8
Fernando Alonso 6.9
Jenson Button 13.7
Nico Rosberg 7.3
Sebastian Vettel 13.8

The prices are correct at the time of writing. I have 0.7 million left to spend, which won't get me much, and the total value of my team is 52.2. This means although JB's value went down slightly, Der Seb's improvement has more than counteracted any lasting effects.

To change your own teams, head on over to Fantasy Racers - you've got until 5pm BST (4pm GMT, 12pm EST). Let us know who you go with and why, and if you're not joined up yet, all you need to know is here. Good luck everyone!

Well that's not bad at all. You got one Brawn and one Red Bull, so you're hedging your bets. Fisi's doing okay, and Toyota sometimes do well. Buemi is the only wild car, really.

I've ditched Massa and I'm going for some rain specialists, Sutil and Buemi, in his place as I think two finishers are better than one. So no doubt Massa will clinch pole...

No comment. Otherwise you'll blame me if you do badly.

it doesn't seem like much of a fightback. what's your strategy? i'm gonna keep doing what i have been doing... nothing.

Okay then. Get rid of Glock and buy someone else.

You can buy more cheaper drivers, versus buying less expensive drivers

But you have Button, Webber, Vettel and Barrichello. How can they be cheaper than Glock, Buemi and Fisichella....

I bought Button and Barrichello before the season started, when they were cheap

Kathi bought so many drivers they brought in a rule limiting you to 9 drivers maximum. She should be trading stocks or something with the amount of money she made.

Change of plan - Rubens not impressing me this weekend... him and Buemi out, Massa back in along with Rosberg (Rubens for pole instead then)

And I think she's now pulling off something similar in her secondary accounts, now that her primary account is romping away with the championship...

Aren't you just straight onto a loser? How can you do well if you've missed half the season?

you're racing those teams at the back... and me.

rachel signuped for the last race, along with 5 others and now she has 13 teams to race. plus people only just ahead of her.

I'd have Massa, but I don't even understand the game properly so I wouldn't listen to me :P

They are not going to win but they can join the fun and learn for next season. I also learned this week that the highest scorer at every race or as we prefer to call her Kathi gets a prize so there is hope for them especially if they pick up a lot of cheap drivers and the slow teams get fast.

Maybe Dan should just ship all the prizes to Kathi now, saves him shipping costs. :D

I have the same six drivers as usual... my problem is that I can't improve my roster because when I look at the average points per race, I have to sell two bad drivers to get a better one and that ends up with the same average score.

By the way, if you need help picking your drivers, please take a look at my stats from my blog here...

gone from team FP2: Sutil, Alonso, Nakajima, Barrichello.
    Purchased Button and Hamilton.

I dislike when the expensive ones are fast, it makes my team small.
