This week we take a tour round the Red Bull factory but not before we've examined the news, including Bernie's wheelings and dealings, and the BBC line up.
Intro
It's nice to have some downtime in the off-season, with no politics!
Good Week / Bad Week
Good week for Sebastien Buemi and Mark Webber. The first is almost guaranteed a job, and the second is optimistic about recovery. Bad week for Williams and fans of big launches. The first might lose Rosberg if they don't pull their socks up, and the second won't like what Toyota are planning.
News and Views
We investigate the LG deal in much closer detail, and here an excerpt from a certain Jake Humphrey. Then we find out who Mr Humphrey is and why he has the BBC credentials to anchor their 2009 lineup. Also, someone toured the Red Bull factory.
Feedback
A great, and long, email from dp letting us know who he supports and why, plus a catchup of the Force India comments we made last week.
Housekeeping
Williams fan club need to rethink their accounting strategy, Fantasy Racers could soon feature Sidepodland, and there's an argument brewing over the F1 Minute feed.

I've heard of quick, but this is ridiculous, kudos to your editing skills.
And I believe I was the closest?
Mystic R.G.
wow how did you do that so quickly, Christine? wow.
well done R.G!
I said 37mins, so i wasn't far off :)
Crikey, how quick did you get that done?! Credit where credit's due, that is truly uh-mazing.
Not again! Sooooo close! Just 5 seconds less!!
And Christine - Your editing skills are scary. :)
two things i forgot to mention in the show:
- should've thanked icn sport for the bernie audio
- during the factory visit, we saw the chassis that dc trashed in fuji, walked for about 10 minutes and then saw the car he trashed in brazil. i get the impression they had to extend to a third building just to accommodate his chassis graveyard.
Hahahahaha! Did they planning permission, or was it pre-emptively granted by mid-season! :P
Did they *need* planning...
retrospective for certain.
you know what i totally forgot to do? thank red bull!
"thank you red bull for being just plain awesome"
Three days on, our moustached friend who accompanied us still has me intrigued. Somehow, somewhere us lot are on video. But for what reason?
Oh and the links above ^ you've got my blog and the Racing Bulls site mixed up?
i thought his compatriot said he wanted to record everything our tour guide was saying. my guess is he's working on an austrian version of engineering x-factor.
oops, sorted, sorry.
For the record...I have listened to this episode repeatedly and there seems to have been a mix-up somewhere. Following the segment in which you read from my recent e-mail, you apparently read something from someone else who was complaining about your "Hamilton and McLaren bias", which "me" attributed to me (dp). Those were not my words. My comments ended with the USGP/Scott Speed comments. I don't know where the "bias" thing came from. I'm not one to criticize, and would not have made the "bias" comment even if I thought it were true!
Um, if I recall, he was clarifying that the positive Lewis Hamilton comments were yours, so that we wouldn't get told off for the bias. Not that you said we were biased.
just listening back, we probably could've worded it better.

Here's something for all the Apple fans out there:

Well, I typed up a response, but "me" beat me to it. I just didn't want my introduction to your community/audience to sound like a gripe. If anything, I wish you were more behind Hamilton! And as I stated in the e-mail, I very much appreciate the job you do and the service you provide. Thanks.
