just seems to have gone so quickly. felt like things were ticking along nicely until about silverstone, after which every fia press release was a controversial one, and it's been non-stop ever since.

    Special livery for DC?

    oooh, nice.

It's the classic mix of fast and slow as far as I can tell. If I look back I think "gosh where has the year gone". And then I think what has happened this year and I start listing all of the things and I can't quite believe that all of them have happened in a year. It's been a bit crazy!

He's no Kimi or JV don't get me wrong, but he's just got one of those faces where you wanna grab his cheeks and give them a squeeze.

yeah Jan 2007. took me almost a year to star visiting the blog and stuff. i was thinking about when i first listened and i remembered it was early Jan 2007 when i went for a weekend in France. It was a long journey and a friend had introduced me to podcasts. I listened to a bunch of f1 podcasts and decided that sidepodcast sounded better, promptly downloaded all that had been released up to then and listened to them on my journey :) have been subscribed ever since. so yeah jan 2007 :) not sure i've ever said when exactly cause i hadn't really thought about it till the other day.

A TV person who at the beginning of the year was the victim of a cruel FIA stunt (when he swiped through the barriers his real name rather than his nom de plume flashed up on the screen).

The other thing that the person of that IP address added at the same time as his real name is on the liablous side!

TK did use his original name before Google tells me. He was interviewed by the telegrah under that name in 2004.

It’s a free-for-all in that anyone can write or edit anything, but supposedly self-policing in that there are (a) algorithms that detect potentially malicious edits and flag them up; and (b) volunteer admins. But who watches the watchmen?

My favourite Wikipedia moment was when TV theme tune composer Ronnie Hazlehurst died and some enterprising prankster amended his entry to say he’d co-written an S Club 7 hit – a ‘fact’ which appeared in many newspaper obituaries the following day.

There was a huge stink on there when Jimbo Wales edited his own entry. The fact that everyone can change everything is why it works. Everyone is a watchmen.

The suggested action is to report it to the biographies noticeboard which generally results in an established wikipedia person taking a look. It tends to make the process of getting your article cleaned up much easier. But you don't have to. It's just the most efficient path.
