    phew, that took a while to get done. damn those exciting races.

    quick note. it's been pointed out to us that we could be doing a better job on the audio mixing front. we made a step forward this week, but we've got more improvements in the pipeline. the sound is more *even* this episode, but a touch on the distorted side.

    give us another couple of attempts and we'll have it nailed.

    soon we'll be using so much compression it'll sound louder than ITV's commercials!

    Good episode. And what a race, well done for compressing into one 'cast. It was a little distorted this week (Chris' voice was a little fuzzy, "me" was okay though, something I haven't noticed before) but easily listenable. (Oooh, Firefox says that's a new word).

    Good news on Kubica (just a sprain) and thanks for noticing Twitter. I tried to get a look in at Forumla1.net but the race was so action packed I didn't get a moment to split myself into three (Twitter, BF1, ...). Maybe next time, Dangermouse! ;-)

    there was way too much going on to keep up with a live chat during that race! i gave up looking at the renault pit data too. in fact blinking became optional at times.

    thanks for the comments, we're on the case of the audio issues. new speakers will be ordered this week.

    You are both very easily heard, clear and well modulated. A host of professional newsreaders and program makers could learn from your example, specifically Ed Stourton from R4's the Today programme, whose volume drops off like a continental shelf.

    One of the joys in listening to sidepodcast is that the information is very densely written. I have to pay close attention, or I have to replay.

    You don't insult the listener's intelligence and its been a while since any media did that, congratulations. please keep it up.

    Excellent - Only just found this podcast (thanks to Ollie for pointing me over here) - and the first weekend I try more "interactive" stuff while watching F1 (Twitter, having the website timings on when watching) and then to top it all, one of my comments makes it into this podcast :-)

    No problems with the sound quality (listening through headphones) - looking forward to the next one.

    (oh, and no matter what anyone says, Hamilton did good!)
