Bahrain: Saturday Practice

Slightly more information is available this morning as Five Live are broadcasting radio commentary for this session.

The only real news is McLaren had a bit of overnight drama, when some equipment situated above each of the race cars collapsed and damaged bodywork. Apparently repairs have been made and all is well, but the team are now short on replacement parts.

Ferrari look strongest on the hard tyres, Lewis seems happier on the soft ones. Worryingly Kovi and Fissi spent most of the session propping up the bottom of the timesheets, significantly behind everyone else. Presumably they were working on their long-run pace.

Davidson put in a fantastic flying lap 5 minutes from the end, putting him briefly 3rd behind both BMW's. When the session came to a close Anthony ended up in 5th place, beaten only by Lewis, Kimi, Nick and Robert.

Massa fluffed his last gasp flyer so finished outside the top 5. Alonso did manage complete his, but he failed to improve on 7th position almost a second down on his teammate.

Just as practice came to an end, the rain started. With qualifying starting in 2 hours it's going to be one not to be missed.
